Emergency Response

New fleet

Keeping London’s Fire Brigade moving

The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) manages the London Fire Brigade, which has 7,000 staff, including 5,800 operational fire-fighters and officers.

The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority needed to secure a fleet of more than 200 fit-for-purpose vehicles for use by fire officers to attend incidents across the capital.

“When many public sector organisations are looking to drive efficiencies, a contract hire agreement can provide a cost effective and flexible solution to fleet requirements.” Melanie Holmes, Central Government and Public Sector Relationship Manager at Lex Autolease

It’s an emergency

Lex Autolease secured a place on a panel to provide services to the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA).

It will fulfil a request of up tor 210 vehicles through three-year contract hire agreements, which will include full maintenance services. The cars will be fitted with emergency lights and used by Fire Officers to attend incidents.

The tender for the contract came into effect on 1st August 2013 and will include short-term rental provision. It was administered by independent public services consultancy, Sector Treasury Services, under the Halton Housing Trust framework.

We are proud to be a preferred supplier of the LFEPA and support the work of the London Fire Brigade.
