AGILE HIRING

Agile hiring at Lloyds Banking Group

Agile hiring and working is key to ensuring our colleagues can have a rewarding career whilst achieving a healthy lifestyle balance.

Lloyds Banking  Group is committed to being the best bank for our customer and a great place to work.

As part of our commitment to Helping Britain Prosper, agile working is key to ensuring our colleagues can have a rewarding  career that helps us meet our promise to our customers whilst achieving a healthy lifestyle balance.

It’s about building agility into roles at the point of hire and considering alternative options to the traditional 9-5 office based way of working to support customers and colleagues better.
Hiring in an agile way recognises the importance of ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘who’ as well as ‘where’ and ‘when’: What needs to be done? How does it need to be done? Can flexibility be built into where and when it can be done? Who is the best person with the right skills for the job?

Agile working can be part–time, a job share, reduced hours, compressed hours, home working or other flexible arrangements. Over a third of our workforce already work in an agile way and we are happy to discuss different ways we can support agile working, that help us meet both customer and colleague needs, during hiring.

It’s about more than working flexibly, it’s about empowering and entrusting colleagues to think creatively about how, when and where they work, to deliver the best outcomes.

Take a look at the different agile working options we offer.

Lloyds Banking Group has a number of active networks to support female talent and diversity across the Group.

“Breakthrough” is our Women’s Network which is committed to encouraging the development of our female colleagues. It is an inclusive network, with the key aim to close the gender gap. Everyone is welcome to take part, including our male colleagues who participate in parenting events and mentoring.

Our “Family Matters” network is an active, supportive community that runs events, resource banks and online forums to support parents and carers across the Group.

“Footprints in the Snow” is our role model programme to showcase the breadth of female talent Lloyds Banking Group has in Senior Roles, and how they made it to the top.
