In addition, it enables our colleagues to self assess themselves against our group-wide capability framework, identify prioritised areas of development and enrol on learning which will help them grow technically & professionally, in order to continually deliver for both the communities and customers that we serve.

Chartered Banker Foundation Standard
The Foundation Standard was developed by the Chartered Banker Professional Standards Board – in which we play a leading role – and has been adopted by all the major UK banks. The initiative will help us to restore the trust and confidence of our customers and enhance our pride in what we do every day.
The Foundation Standard consists of a range of knowledge, skills, attitudinal and behavioural indicators, which we have benchmarked against day-to-day practices and activities already in place in our business. These include our Values, Codes of Responsibility, Performance Management procedures and learning & development curriculum.
