The Lloyds Scholars programme, run by Lloyds Banking Group, has been developed to encourage and support young people from below average income families to study at leading academic and research universities.
We firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity of a first-class education at a top university. We hope that Lloyds Scholars will help to open those doors to students who otherwise, may not have had the financial backing required to attend.
Lloyds Banking Group is proud to have piloted the Lloyds Scholars programme with University of Bristol and the University of Sheffield. In 2012 we have expanded Lloyds Scholars to include: the University of Edinburgh, University of Oxford, University College London and the University of Warwick.
To be considered for a place on the Lloyds Scholars programme, students must have a confirmed place at a participant university and have a household income below £25,000. They will also be required to successfully complete a Lloyds Banking Group assessment.
