Bank of Scotland International will be raising funds for Jersey's After Breast Cancer Support Group in its third annual lunchtime Bra Dash through St. Helier on Friday 30th May.
The Bra Dash will start at 12pm outside Bank of Scotland International's office on New Street in St. Helier. Runners are requested to either wear a decorated Bra on the day, or turn up in fancy dress, or both! Katy Ringsdore from Channel 103 FM will be opening the event and will broadcast live during the morning.
The Dash will race off down New Street, up King Street and Queen Street, as far Snow Hill. The runners will then turn around and head back down Queen Street, King Street and onto Charing Cross. From there, the Dash will head into Old Street, Union Street and back along the home strait to Bank of Scotland International's office on New Street.
There will be prizes awarded on the day for the best dressed team (£100), the person with the best decorated bra (£50) and the best fundraiser (£50). There will also be a prize for the best dressed under three years old, kindly donated by the Early Learning Centre.
During the event, light refreshments will be provided by Fitness First and Maids of Honour. Thanks also go to Formal Affairs for their continued support.
James Gairdner, Managing Director at Bank of Scotland International, said:
"We look forward to welcoming everyone to this years' Bra Dash event and helping us to make this an event to remember. Is it a great way to raise funds for a very deserving cause."
For the third year running, the funds raised during the Bra Dash will be used to support the ongoing work of Jersey's After Breast Cancer Support Group. Set up in 1999, this local charity aims to promote awareness of breast cancer issues and provides patients and their families with hope, support and friendship at any stage of treatment.
Pippa Simpson, chairperson of the After Breast Cancer Support Group, said:
"We are extremely grateful to Bank of Scotland International for the £18,000 colleagues have raised for us over the past two years and look forward to another successful dash this year."
Ends.
