Latest data from recruitment consultants operating in Scotland highlighted another improvement in labour market conditions. Employment levels in both the permanent and temporary sectors increased at marked rates during March, while vacancy growth accelerated. Pay rates rose in both sectors for the second month in a row, although the increase was subdued in the long-term jobs market. Meanwhile, Scottish recruitment consultants indicated that staff availability
continued to rise.
