JOB TITLE:  Software Engineer

SALARY: £47,790 - £53,100

LOCATION: Bristol

HOURS:  Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

About this opportunity: 

A great opportunity has arisen within the Digital Cyber Security Enhance feature team to help ensure our services are protected, network traffic flow is optimised, and we continue on with our transformation of our processes and products. 

As an F5 iRules Engineer you’ll have opportunities to help drive a great engineering culture, building great code, develop wider skills to develop end to end products for platforms and be a member of a wider engineering community passionate about sharing knowledge and learning.

What you’ll need

  • Previous experience with scripting technologies such as Python, Bash etc.
  • Experience using backend technologies such Java or another OO language
  • Source code repositories (Git, GitHub, GitLab) 

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • F5 and F5 iRules, but full training will be provided 
  • Professional working knowledge in networking protocols and approaches. 
  • Continuous integration pipeline and test automation 
  • Using cloud platforms and technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.) 
  • Relational (SQL) DB and document (no-SQL) DB
