JOB TITLE: Business Manager, LBCM Financial Markets

LOCATION: London

About this opportunity

An outstanding opportunity awaits you as a Business Manager in our Financial Markets business, where you play a crucial role coordinating our Trading Activity Wind-Down (TWD) framework and leading the business management support for the funding and collateral optimisation of our trading books.

As a Business Manager, you'll:

  • Co-ordinate and run the TWD governance framework including updates to the recovery playbook and review and sign-off of the Recovery Plan.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with TWD including fire drills, testing of capabilities, and supporting regulatory engagement.
  • Act as the primary TWD contact for LBCM with Group Corporate Treasury in the broader context of Recovery and Resolution Planning.
  • Lead business management support for the effective management of XVA and CSA discounting risks, collateral and repo to optimise value within Financial Markets.
  • Coordinate the management of model risks, ensuring adherence with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans; conduct detailed analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement; collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the best approaches to achieve project goals and ensure flawless execution.
  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and enhance effectiveness of processes.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure that all activities strictly adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of TWD and model risk management.
  • A solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial sector.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Drive and energy to handle and balance changing priorities with strong organisation skills to track timely and accurate delivery plans.
