About this opportunity 

You will join the Consumer Servicing & Engagement (CS&E) Platform, a team focused on delivering a unified digital servicing experience for personal customers on the device of their choice. We aim to provide the best digital customer experience by increasing engagement and enabling seamless self-service. 

In this role, you’ll develop AI and ML solutions to solve business problems with guidance this includes feature selection, model training, prompting, fine-tuning, and designing validation frameworks. You’ll also conduct research using primary data sources to identify key themes and trends that inform strategic decisions. 

 What you’ll be doing: 

  • Conducts research using primary data sources to identify key themes and trends for analysis. 

  •  Supports colleagues in effectively using data management systems to drive insights and decision-making. 

  •  Delivers customer service by meeting needs directly or supervising a team of advisors. 

  •  Prepares and edits documents for publication, ensuring alignment with organisational standards. 

  •  Invests in personal development and supports others through coaching, training, and capability building. 

  •  Identifies gaps in existing processes and contributes to improvements through change initiatives. 

  •  Provides clear guidance on procedures and handles routine queries using established frameworks. 

  •  Reviews IT security issues and resolves problems with support, ensuring compliance. 

  •  Investigates programme-related questions and contributes to process improvements. 

  •  Manages risk and strategic planning outcomes within defined systems and responsibilities. 

  •  Leads teams to deliver results, working within established knowledge and operational frameworks. 

  •  Responds to objectives by developing personal skills and coaching others to improve performance.

What you’ll need:   

  • Experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions across the full lifecycle. 

  • Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas) and SQL. 

  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. 

  • Solid understanding of machine learning theory and statistical modelling. 

  • Familiarity with MLOps/AI Ops practices for scalable, reliable deployment. 

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset. 

  • Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams.
     

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 

  • Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. 

  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools, including LLMs and frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
