Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Nick Williams as Chief Executive Officer of Partner Finance, the Group’s newest business unit, designed to grow market share and drive innovation beyond traditional banking.
Nick is currently Managing Director of Lloyds Banking Group’s Transport business, overseeing consumer and business vehicle financing and leasing teams and driving digital-first innovation and partnerships. Before his current position, he held a range of leadership roles across transformation, digital and change areas, spanning retail and commercial banking.
As CEO of Partner Finance, Nick will be responsible for leading the Group’s efforts to expand beyond traditional banking, enabling Lloyds to compete in a more connected, digital and partnership-led economy.
With businesses such as transport, European retail banking and embedded finance all part of the new area, Nick will grow the business through a strong focus on partnerships, data, technology and new business models.
The appointment, subject to regulatory approval, will be effective from 1 October.
Jayne Opperman, currently interim CEO of Partner Finance, will leave Lloyds Banking Group at the end of the year.
