JOB TITLE: Private Banking Lending Manager
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Halifax, Leeds, Hove or London
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week or 40% of time in an office. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments.
Ready to shape the future of lending in Private Banking? We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused individual to join our Specialised Lending Team as a Private Banking Specialist Lender. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of our lending operations, delivering exceptional outcomes for high-value clients while helping shape the future of our lending proposition.
Proactively manage and build relationships with key internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner.
Identify and resolve shortcomings in compliance and distribution processes to enhance customer service.
Collaborate with lending colleagues to manage important external introducer relationships.
Build and maintain a productive working relationship with Wealth Credit Risk to support the delivery of outstanding customer outcomes.
Provide input into the development of improved procedures to enhance the customer lending journey.
Offer operational support to senior managers through non-routine activities using established programmes and protocols.

3+ years experience in complex HNW residential and specialist lending
Proven understanding of the UK residential property market and the services that support it.
Strong relationship management skills as you'll be working across Private Banking, Wealth Credit Risk and introducers
Customer‑first decision‑making with confident judgement in complex lending scenarios
Continuous improvement approach with strong control, documentation and process discipline
Ability to coach others in lending standards and credit reasoning
Comfortable using customer and partner feedback to enhance service
Proactive in sharing knowledge and guidelines across teams
