About this opportunity

Ready to shape the future of lending in Private Banking? We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused individual to join our Specialised Lending Team as a Private Banking Specialist Lender. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of our lending operations, delivering exceptional outcomes for high-value clients while helping shape the future of our lending proposition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and resolve shortcomings in compliance and distribution processes to enhance customer service.

  • Collaborate with lending colleagues to manage important external introducer relationships.

  • Build and maintain a productive working relationship with Wealth Credit Risk to support the delivery of outstanding customer outcomes.

  • Provide input into the development of improved procedures to enhance the customer lending journey.

  • Offer operational support to senior managers through non-routine activities using established programmes and protocols.

Why join us?

We’re transforming at pace. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to change the way we meet the needs of our 28 million customers. We’re growing, and we’d love you to be part of the journey.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years experience in complex HNW residential and specialist lending

  • Proven understanding of the UK residential property market and the services that support it.

  • Strong relationship management skills as you'll be working across Private Banking, Wealth Credit Risk and introducers

  • Customer‑first decision‑making with confident judgement in complex lending scenarios

  • Continuous improvement approach with strong control, documentation and process discipline

Desirable Skills

  • Ability to coach others in lending standards and credit reasoning

  • Comfortable using customer and partner feedback to enhance service

  • Proactive in sharing knowledge and guidelines across teams
