Job description

JOB TITLE: Personal Assistant - Conduct Compliance & Operational Risk

SALARY:  £30,201

LOCATION(S): Halifax, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds or Newport

HOURS: Full-time, 35 hours

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.

Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.

What you’ll be doing:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Conduct, Compliance & Operational Risk Team as the Personal Assistant (PA) for two Directors covering Customer & Product and Commercial & Markets Risk (CCOR).

The PA is the first point of contact for the team, providing secretarial and administrative support across varied tasks, whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships.

This role involves a high level of prioritisation, diary, and inbox management, as well as collaborating across a wide network. You will need to work with a range of senior stakeholders, both internal and external. It is a fast-paced work environment and you should be highly motivated and work well under pressure.

In this role you’ll:

  • Plan and prioritise a demanding schedule and produce comprehensive information to support all appointments

  • Ensure record keeping of the office is kept to a high standard and is in line with the Executive Handbook, Group policies and standards

  • Gather and provide information on a wide range of topics, including material for various committees

  • Identify, monitor and mitigate risks, escalating where appropriate and undertake project work as required

  • Use initiative to prioritise workflow during absence, manage diaries to achieve optimum time effectiveness and arrange travel.

Why join us?

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.

What we’re looking for?

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a PA or similar administrative support role

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build effective working relationships

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work at pace

  • Strong IT skills, including word processing and experience using a range of software packages

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and present information clearly and concisely

  • High attention to detail, with discretion, reliability and an understanding of confidentiality requirements.

And any experience of these would be great:

  • A working knowledge of Risk Function is desired but not essential.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. We recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you:

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.
