JOB TITLE:         Associate, Assistant Quantitative Specialist

LOCATION:       London

HOURS:             Full-time

As part of our strategic drive to be at the forefront of a rapidly evolving marketplace in financial services, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a talented quantitative graduate to join a Front Office quant team, where you’ll build on your mathematical and technological skills as well as financial knowledge to develop and maintain models that are critical to the success of our business. 

Within the modelling mandate of Portfolio & XVA Quantitative Research, the role is to contribute to model development, model maintenance, and model user support activities, through all stages of the model lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to meeting business demand for modelling enhancements through development in the Quant Library (QL), under the supervision of more senior colleagues as experience is developed, from project initiation through to production implementation
  • Running, automating and where necessary analysing, key performance indicators (KPIs) of the model suite, as part of essential model monitoring activities, and reporting the results to key stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Supporting all Model Users as part of the regular team support rota
  • Engaging with openness, transparency and collaboration with relevant stakeholders across the 1st line, Independent Validation, Engineering, Market and Credit Risk, and Finance

What we’re looking for?

  • A degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics or Engineering, with post-graduate education or research experience beneficial
  • Programming experience in C++, CUDA or Python
  • Some quantitative Financial Services experience is preferable.
