About this opportunity

Join a high-profile Finance team at the heart of Retail Banking, shaping the performance of some of the UK's largest Personal Current Account, Savings and UK Private Banking businesses. As a Finance Manager, you'll turn complex financial and customer insight into powerful recommendations that influence senior decision-making, drive strategic outcomes and support millions of customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure across the business, partner with senior colleagues and play a key role in delivering the future success of Consumer Relationships!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take ownership of Consumer Relationships reporting, delivering high-impact insight that helps shape decisions across Personal Current Accounts, Savings and UK Private Banking – some of the UK's largest and most strategically important banking businesses.

  • Play a leading role in key planning cycles, including Quarterly Forecasts and the Four-Year Operating Plan, transforming complex financial data into compelling narratives that influence senior decision-making.

  • Partner with senior colleagues across Finance and the business, helping to develop and implement strategies that drive growth, strengthen customer relationships and improve financial performance.

  • Provide meaningful challenge and insight, identifying the key drivers of performance and bringing together product, customer and market perspectives to support better business outcomes.

  • Work across a diverse network of teams, collaborating with Finance Business Partners, Treasury, Data and Business leaders to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and deliver shared objectives.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement, seeing opportunities to simplify processes, enhance reporting and leverage technology to unlock greater value from data.

  • Be part of a high-performing and supportive team culture, where collaboration, learning and development are actively encouraged and celebrated.

  • Help shape the future of Finance, championing automation, modern reporting capabilities and new ways of working that improve efficiency and decision-making across the organisation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

  • 3 or more years demonstrating strong financial reporting, planning and forecasting experience, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • 3 or more years proven excellent communication and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting analysis, recommendations and performance updates to senior colleagues and leadership forums.

  • Proven ability to influence and challenge constructively, building credibility and strong relationships across Finance and the wider business.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities and improvements.

  • Strong ability in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A continuous improvement attitude, with an interest in automation, innovation and enhancing reporting capabilities.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Experience within Retail Banking or Financial Services.

  • Knowledge of Deposit products, hedging or balance sheet dynamics.

  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query or other visualisation tools.

  • Experience delivering finance change and automation initiatives.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based reporting and modern data technologies.
