Lloyds Banking Group provided funding and risk management services to the £2.3bn Neart na Gaoithe (Strength of the Wind) Offshore Wind Farm.

Neart na Gaoithe is a joint venture between EDF Energy Renewables and ESB Group. Located 15 km off the coast of Fife, with the potential to power c. 375,000 Scottish homes and offsetting 400,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

Backing our ambition

We have set an ambitious goal, working with customers, Government and the market to reduce the emissions we finance by more than 50 per cent by 2030, supporting both the UK’s ambition to be net zero by 2050 and the 2015 Paris Agreement.

This will require a radical reinvention of ways of working, living and doing business, including new Government policies and sustainable finance solutions.
