JOB TITLE:        Private Banking Relationship Manager

LOCATION:       Isle of Man

HOURS:             Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office site.

What you’ll be doing:

We're the trusted local private banking partner in the Crown Dependencies, combining relationship-led banking with deep local insight and expertise. This is a great opportunity to join Crown Dependencies, the fastest growing business in Lloyds Banking Group (LBG). It's a phenomenal time to join our retail bank and make a real difference.

Developing our proposition to proactively support our customers in the Crown Dependencies creates an exciting new opportunity within the Isle of Man. Being our business representative, you'll have the opportunity to build long lasting and sustainable relationships within our local Relationship Managed customer base. You'll discover opportunities to match customer needs against our products and support customers with our digital offering using customer feedback to understand and improve our customer's experience.

As a Relationship Manager, you'll manage and grow a portfolio of valued clients across the Crown Dependencies while developing your professional network and identifying opportunities to support sustainable business growth.

  • Actively growing and overseeing a portfolio of customers, nurturing close working relationships, and delivering exemplary service that meets their complex banking and lending needs.
  • Discovering opportunities to match customer needs against our products and supporting customers with our digital offering.
  • Engaging with customers to ensure optimal satisfaction and provide superior customer service.
  • Enhancing value and profitability through increased relationship depth and reduced customer attrition.
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with local external partners and professional introducers to identify new business opportunities and drive self-generated sustainable growth.
  • Collaborating with business partners and risk to support day-to-day management.
Challenging processes and finding new ways of working to create a more efficient, client-focused team.
  • Developing personal capabilities through formal and informal training opportunities, while also coaching others as required.

To be eligible for this role, you'll need to have right to live and work in the Isle of Man (this is different to UK right to work).

What we’re looking for?

Our brand is trusted across the Crown Dependencies and this role, which offers an exceptional relationship management service will deepen that brand affinity. Therefore, you'll need to have the ability to quickly build relationships; to understand and meet your customer's needs through our diverse range of services. You would ideally have 3- 5 years of relevant relationship management experience, as well as:

  • A proven track record in business development, with the ability to generate new opportunities through an established network of professional introducers, local contacts and centres of influence.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to represent the Bank externally and convert introducer relationships into high-quality client referrals and sustainable portfolio growth.‌
  • A growth mindset with a drive to increase your customer portfolio.
  • You'll need to be hard-working and self-motivated with the desire to deliver outstanding customer service.

This is a place for you:

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities, and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.

We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns. And, as a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee interviews for a fair and proportionate number of applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role with a disability, long-term health or neurodivergent condition through the Disability Confident Scheme.

We provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers. Just let us know what you need.
