Lloyds Banking Group has been ranked 10th in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers 2026, its highest-ever position and a rise from 40th place in 2021. The milestone reflects the Group’s sustained investment in developing and supporting early careers talent.

Over the past five years, Lloyds Banking Group has scaled its next generation talent proposition and youth outreach, creating significant opportunities across technology, data and artificial intelligence, alongside customer-facing and business roles.

The talent choices Lloyds Banking Group makes today will help shape the organisation it becomes by 2030. As technology and artificial intelligence transform the world of work, the Group has redesigned its next generation talent portfolio to build the specialist capabilities, adaptability and leadership depth it will need for the future.

A new age of talent

The new offer creates clearer career pathways, accelerates the development of expertise in priority areas and builds the judgement, curiosity and commercial thinking needed in an AI-enabled organisation. It includes new programmes in Wealth and Commercial Management, Product and Partnerships and People Science; specialist pathways in Cyber Security Engineering and Software Engineering; and more industrial placement opportunities than ever before.

For young people, this creates opportunities to contribute to one of the UK’s largest business transformations – gaining real responsibility, developing future-ready skills and helping improve outcomes for millions of customers and communities.

The ranking, widely regarded as the UK’s definitive guide to the most sought-after graduate employers, is based on feedback from more than 14,000 final-year students.

The Group has also been recognised in the Government and Higherin Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers 2026, rising to 6th place from 54th in 2024. The ranking celebrates employers that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to apprenticeships through successful completions, a diverse range of opportunities and excellent apprentice experiences.

Together, these achievements highlight Lloyds Banking Group’s commitment to helping young people build meaningful careers while developing the skills needed for the future.

Building careers with real impact

Lloyds Banking Group is one of the UK’s largest employers and offers graduate, apprenticeship, undergraduate and work experience opportunities across a wide range of business, technology, data and customer-focused roles. The Group’s early careers programmes combine hands-on experience with structured learning, professional qualifications, mentoring and career development opportunities. Apprentices, graduates and interns are encouraged to make a meaningful impact from day one while building the skills, confidence and experience needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world of work.

With opportunities available across the UK, a strong commitment to inclusion and continuous learning, and a focus on helping colleagues grow their careers, Lloyds Banking Group continues to invest in the next generation of talent as it works towards its purpose of Helping Britain Prosper.

An investment in future skills

As part of its new strategic phase, Lloyds Banking Group has announced a £100 million investment to build future skills. This includes reskilling 20,000 colleagues and an ambition to support a further 600,000 young people across the UK by 2030 – taking its total support for young people to one million over a decade.

The Group's support for young people includes apprenticeships, work experience, placements, careers education and employability programmes. These opportunities help more young people build skills and access routes into work, including those who are not in education, employment or training.
