Our wellbeing framework and approach

Flexible working

We take pride in being a leader in flexibility, and offer a wide array of flexible working options for different circumstances.

These include: hybrid working, job sharing, career breaks, volunteering time, emergency or compassionate leave.

We also offer tailored adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, neurodivergent conditions, long-term health conditions, and mental health conditions.

Career-long support

From onboarding to career transitions, wellbeing is built in. We recruit inclusively, provide reasonable adjustments, and support professionals returning after career breaks of 18 months or longer. All colleagues are required to complete annually refreshed mandatory mental health and wellbeing training.

Leaders have clear expectations to regularly check in on wellbeing, are supported with guidance on recognising when colleagues may need help.

Moments that matter

We understand that sometimes, life can be challenging and so offer support across a wide range of significant life events including fertility, pregnancy, parenting, caring, cancer, menopause, separation and bereavement.

Where needed, we provide emergency safeguarding for domestic abuse and homelessness, including safe accommodation and practical help.

Financial wellbeing

Our flexible rewards allow colleagues to tailor financial benefits such as pensions, colleague offers, and our Sharematch scheme.

We also provide a range of financial education and support resources.

Colleague communities

We create spaces where colleagues can connect, share experiences and support one another.

This includes wellbeing communities and monthly peer-to-peer support calls (bereavement, cancer, carers, money and mental health), our trained network of wellbeing advocates, and campaigns that inform, inspire and amplify authentic colleague stories.

Practical tools, specialist and clinical services

Private medical cover

Our company-funded private medical cover goes beyond traditional healthcare support, providing access to services including free annual cancer screenings, physiotherapy, neurodiversity assessments and award-winning menopause support. 

Colleagues can access digital tools including fitness content, exercise plans, nutritional advice, guided meditation, a digital gym with live and on-demand classes, and chat with a qualified nurse available 24/7.

You can even choose to extend your medical cover to eligible family members.

Headspace and other extras

Free access to the Headspace app provides a go-to resource for meditation and mental fitness, offering hundreds of guided sessions covering stress, sleep, and focus, along with an AI-powered support buddy.

You can also tailor your benefits package with other extras such as additional healthcare cover, dental plans, health assessments and critical illness cover – giving you flexibility and peace of mind when it comes to your health and wellbeing.

Occupational health and workplace adjustments

Independent professionals deliver assessments and practical adjustments to enable a confident return to work after any form of absence.

Our 'Wellbeing Passport' is a simple and confidential way to voluntarily share any needs related to disability, long-term health conditions, neurodivergence, health & wellbeing, and caring, to ensure the right support is in place for you at work.

Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing hub

Our Employee Assistance Programme offers confidential advice, counselling, debt and legal assistance, and a dedicated LGBTQ+ pathway.

We also have a wellbeing hub for colleagues – a self-service library of resources covering mental, physical and financial health, along with guidance on supporting others.
