JOB TITLE: Digital Assets Product Manager (Associate Director)
LOCATIONS: London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester or Birmingham
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity:
As a Digital Assets Product Manager, you’ll help shape the future of how money moves and the next generation of products on blockchain. Working at the forefront of an emerging area in financial services, you’ll develop and launch new capabilities that could transform how our Business & Commercial Banking clients transfer money, manage liquidity and access financial services.
Your initial focus will be supporting the rollout of stablecoin-based transfers, translating an emerging technology into a practical, scalable proposition that delivers real value for our clients. You’ll also contribute to the development of tokenised deposit transfers and other digital money solutions as our capabilities grow.
You’ll join a newly established Digital Assets team at a pivotal stage of its development. This is an opportunity to help build a new capability from the ground up, working closely with our Payments Product organisation and the wider Group Digital Assets community.
As an individual contributor, you’ll have meaningful ownership and visibility. You’ll turn strategy into deliverable client propositions, helping to shape investment decisions, product roadmaps and operating models while ensuring new capabilities are commercially attractive, operationally ready, well-governed and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates who bring experience across Product Management, Digital Assets, Payments, Transaction Banking, FinTech or related areas of financial services. We recognise that few candidates will bring equal depth across every area, so relevant and transferable experience is welcomed.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading the development and launch of Digital Assets propositions across Business & Commercial Banking.
Supporting the rollout and continued development of stablecoin-based transfer capabilities.
Contributing to emerging propositions such as tokenised deposit transfers and other digital money solutions.
Developing business cases, proposition requirements and product roadmaps to support investment and prioritisation decisions.
Managing products through their lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to launch and ongoing development.
Translating emerging Digital Assets technologies into practical, scalable solutions that meet client needs.
Building customer and market insight to inform product design and identify new commercial opportunities.
Coordinating delivery across Product, Platform, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Coverage and Group Digital Assets teams.
Supporting the development of operating models, controls and governance frameworks for new Digital Assets capabilities.
Partnering with sales and relationship teams to support client engagement, co-creation, adoption and growth.
Exploring opportunities to apply Digital Assets capabilities across Cash Management, Trade Finance, Lending and Working Capital.
Building relationships across the Digital Assets ecosystem and contributing to industry forums, market discussions and strategic partnerships.
Why join us?
We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing Digital Assets capability at an early stage and help shape how emerging forms of digital money could support the future of commercial banking. You’ll work on innovative propositions with direct client relevance, collaborate with specialists across the Group and help turn new ideas into secure, scalable and well-governed products.
What we’re looking for?
You'll need a strong understanding of Digital Assets, including areas such as stablecoins, tokenisation, digital wallets or blockchain-enabled financial services, to operate credibly.
Product management experience, including taking products or propositions from concept through to launch.
Experience within payments, transaction banking, commercial banking, FinTech or another related financial services environment.
Experience delivering products through complex, cross-functional organisations and working effectively with business, technology and control teams.
Strong communication, partner management and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to different audiences.
And any experience of these would be great:
Experience of wholesale Digital Assets, regulated stablecoins, tokenised deposits or digital cash solutions.
Experience in Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance, Lending, Invoice Finance or Working Capital products.
Knowledge of evolving Digital Assets regulation or experience working with fintechs, industry bodies and market infrastructure providers.
