About this opportunity

Join our Capital Optimisation & Securitisation team within Group Corporate Treasury, where you'll help manage transactions that support the Group's funding, capital and risk management objectives.

This is a high-impact leadership role, offering the opportunity to lead our Leeds team while partnering with senior colleagues to shape a single multi-asset transaction management function across Leeds and Cardiff. This is a unique opportunity, shaping the future and playing a key part in our Accelerate 2030 strategy. You'll work across Treasury and the wider Group, driving innovation, strengthening capability and influencing how a critical area of the business operates!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and develop Leeds-based colleagues, managing priorities, capacity, capability, wellbeing and succession planning.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager in Cardiff to lead a joined-up transaction management function and maintain an integrated delivery and resource plan.
  • Lead the transaction management portfolio, including transaction set-up, asset and pool management, cash management, reporting, controls and lifecycle events Provide senior oversight of retail securitisation transactions, the covered bond programme and Bank of England Discount Window Facility activities.
  • Implementation lead so transactions and platform changes transition into ongoing management with clear ownership, procedures and controls.
  • Drive simplification, automation, continuous improvement and strong risk management, building effective relationships across Treasury and key partner functions.

  • Strong knowledge of transaction processes, systems, data, controls and lifecycle management, ideally for securitisation transactions.
  • Experience managing complex priorities, delivering operational excellence and maintaining effective risk and control frameworks.
  • Demonstrable ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Understanding of treasury funding, liquidity, capital and risk management activities.
