JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager – Intercompany – 12 month FTC

SALARY: As per range

LOCATION: Edinburgh, New Uberior House

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

In this Fixed Term Contract role, you’ll be a key player in delivering critical intercompany finance processes, investigating and resolving differences, and providing analysis and insight to support effective decision-making. Alongside day-to-day delivery, you’ll help transform how the team works by simplifying processes, strengthening controls and supporting greater use of automation and new technology. It’s an opportunity to collaborate across Finance, challenge existing ways of working and shape sustainable improvements that will influence how intercompany activities are managed in the future!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of key intercompany processes across month-end and quarter-end cycles.
  • Investigating and resolving intercompany differences, working collaboratively with partners across the Group to drive timely outcomes.
  • Producing analysis, reporting and insight to support effective business decision-making.
  • Building strong relationships with partners across Finance and the wider business to support effective collaboration.
  • Contributing to the team’s transformation agenda by helping shape and embed improved processes, controls and ways of working.
  • Finding opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual activity and use automation and new technologies to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Challenging existing ways of working and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and learning.

Why join us?

If you think all banks are the same, you’re wrong. We’re a pioneering, fast-changing business that’s shaping finance as a force for good. If you’re after a role where you can have an impact and do the best work of your career, you’ve just found it.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working within a finance, reporting, operational or change environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify practical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working and influence positive change.
  • A continuous improvement attitude, with experience finding opportunities to simplify processes, reduce inefficiencies and deliver better outcomes.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to balance day-to-day delivery with longer-term transformation priorities and contribute to the team’s future success.

And any of these would be great…

  • Experience supporting transformation or process improvement in financial services or another large, complex organisation.
  • Experience using, or an interest in, emerging technologies, AI, automation, reporting or data analysis tools to modernise Finance processes and improve business outcomes.
