Amanda Mackenzie OBE
Amanda joined the Board in October 2018. Amanda has extensive experience of marketing, brand, customer engagement, digital technology and responsible business which complements the existing Board.
Amanda has a BSc in Psychology from University of London, is a graduate of the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme and holds an Honorary Doctorate from Winchester University. She is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Fellow and past president of the Marketing Society.
Amanda is the Chief Executive of Business in the Community; The Prince's Responsible Business Network which aims to put successful businesses at the heart of creating healthy communities and champion responsible business practice.
Amanda was a member of Aviva's Group Executive for 7 years as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and joined Aviva to change the name and rebrand from Norwich Union.
Prior to her current role, Amanda was seconded from Aviva as Executive Adviser to Project Everyone, to help launch the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Amanda has over 25 years of commercial business practice, including director roles at British Airways AirMiles, BT, Hewlett Packard Inc and British Gas.
Previously Amanda was also a Non-Executive Director of Mothercare plc, and a member of its Audit Committee.
Amanda was a member of Lord Davies’ Steering Group to increase the number of women on boards, and was on the board of the National Youth Orchestra for 10 years.
