Lloyds Banking Group has today been named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality 2026, an annual benchmark recognising UK organisations taking action to create inclusive workplaces.

Compiled by Business in the Community (BITC), the list assesses how employers embed gender equality across leadership, culture, policies and employee experience.

Lloyds Banking Group has now been included in the list for 16 consecutive years, recognising sustained progress in building a more balanced workforce, supporting better outcomes for colleagues, customers and long-term performance.

The Group was the first FTSE 100 company to set gender targets and has set an ambition to achieve 45–55% female representation in executive roles by 2030. Now, women hold over 40% of those roles, reflecting steady progress towards our ambition.

Its approach includes strengthening leadership pathways, making flexible working simpler to access, being more open about pay, and expanding targeted health and wellbeing support for key life moments – including menopause – so colleagues can build and progress their careers in a way that works for them.

This recognition reflects the consistent progress made across the Group to support gender equality in a practical and measurable way. We’ve focused on removing barriers, strengthening progression opportunities, and making flexible working more accessible for colleagues. While we’re encouraged by the progress, we remain focused on the actions needed to go further. Because women’s participation in the workforce is essential to a strong, thriving economy.
