Lloyds Banking Group has been recognised across a number of global and UK award programmes for its work in data, artificial intelligence (AI) and technology.

At the 7th annual Data Breakthrough Awards, the Group’s Generative BI programme was named “Data Visualisation Solution of the Year”, recognising its work to make data more accessible and easier to use across the organisation.

The Group was also recognised at the 2026 Global AI Awards, receiving three awards across different areas of AI application:

  • Agentic AI – Agentic GeoAI: Smarter, Safer, and Sustainable Autonomous Reasoning (CDAO)
  • AI in Human Resources – Prosper (People & Places)
  • Large Language Models (LLMs) – BCB CRE (Business & Commercial Banking)

In the UK, Lloyds Banking Group was named “Large Company of the Year” at the British Data Awards 2026, reflecting the scale of its data and analytics work.

Supporting data and AI across the organisation

The awards reflect the breadth of activity underway to develop and apply data and AI across the Group.

The Generative BI programme enables colleagues to access and explore data using natural language, making it easier to draw insights and support day to day decision making.

Elsewhere, initiatives such as Agentic GeoAI focus on combining different data sources to support decision-making, while Prosper uses AI to provide colleagues with personalised insights and development opportunities.

Within Business & Commercial Banking, the BCB CRE initiative applies large language models (LLMs) to support how information is accessed and used across teams.

The British Data Awards

The British Data Awards recognise organisations and individuals delivering data-driven innovation across the UK, with Lloyds Banking Group awarded Large Company of the Year for 2026.

This recognition reflects the real momentum we’re building across Lloyds Banking Group in applying data and AI in practical, meaningful ways. We’ll continue to strengthen these capabilities to better support our customers and colleagues.
