Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose.
About this opportunity
The Senior Technical Application Specialist (TAS) will serve as a domain expert for strategic Commercial Lending platforms (especially ACBS and associated upstream/downstream ecosystems).
What you’ll do
Act as the primary SME for ACBS covering core modules such as customer, facility, loans, fees, transactions, funding, accruals, repayments, and Datamart/reporting.
Lead design, gap analysis, parameter configuration, and impact assessments for enhancements, migrations, and production fixes.
Provide expert input on lending products including Term, Revolving, Short‑term loans, and Agency/Syndication structures.
Own delivery of complex, multi‑region programmes including platform upgrades, decommissioning, application modernisation, and regulatory programmes.
Lead workstreams, ensuring strong governance of risks, issues, dependencies, and cross‑team alignment.
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of commercial loan migrations from legacy systems into strategic lending platforms across 30+ global markets.
Define TOMs (Target Operating Models), data mapping, payment structures, credit risk alignment, and local regulatory/tax requirements (GST/VAT/withholding).
Oversee cutover planning, rehearsals, and go‑live readiness.
Drive ACBS version/infrastructure upgrades (e.g., Windows, Oracle) ensuring operational resilience and mitigation of obsolescence risks.
Collaborate with architecture teams on API frameworks, strategic cloud‑aligned patterns, and data/report consolidation initiatives.
Coordinate with operations, finance, treasury, compliance, legal, and credit risk teams to define requirements and create design documents.
Manage vendor relationships for ACBS and supporting infrastructure partners.
Provide 3rd‑line SME support for complex production incidents and recurring business queries.
Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and simplification — including consolidation of BO reports (e.g., 300 → 30 – 40).
What you’ll need
Strong Commercial Lending SME experience with deep ACBS product knowledge.
Solid understanding of credit risk, market risk, RWA/Liquidity reporting, operational processes, and reporting for lending products.
Knowledge of Lansa tech and the related issues. Experience in debugging and resolving Lansa related application problems.
Extensive experience delivering multi‑country lending transformations
Strong capability bridging technology, operations, and business strategy.
