  • Develop, test and release new features and enhancements for existing platforms
  • Manage and track work through agreed delivery tools and processes (e.g. Jira)
  • Use automation and AI‑enabled tooling to improve efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities to improve products, services and operational processes
  • Contribute to sprint planning, roadmap activities and delivery milestones
  • Actively invest in learning, development and knowledge‑sharing
  • Support and mentor junior engineers, helping to build an inclusive and supportive team culture
  • Provide cover for the Lead Engineer when required

This role includes participation in a shared on‑call rota.

  • Experience designing, building or supporting cloud‑based infrastructure solutions
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform or equivalent)
  • Experience with version control and collaboration tools (e.g. GitHub or similar)
  • Understanding of secure engineering practices and industry best standards
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments (e.g. Scrum or Kanban)
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD
  • Ability to communicate clearly, listen to different perspectives and contribute constructively
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues or bottlenecks

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with cloud networking or security services, such as:
  • Firewalls
