JOB TITLE: Developer

SALARY: £47,790 - £53,100

LOCATION: Dundee

HOURS:  Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Dundee office location

What You’ll Be Doing….

Join us in shaping the future of wealth management.

This role sits within our Accumulation Platform, dedicated to helping customers build and grow their wealth for a secure future. You’ll be part of the Intermediary Wealth Lab, a dynamic team delivering innovative pension and investment solutions for financial advisers through the Scottish Widows Platform.

Our ambition is bold: to become the leading player in the intermediary pensions and investments market. We’re driving transformation, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and creating solutions that make a real difference for advisers and their clients.

If you’re passionate about innovation, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to help shape the future of wealth management, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Why Join Us…..

We're on an exciting transformation journey and there could not be a better time to join us. The investments we're making in our people, data, and technology are leading to innovative projects, fresh possibilities and countless new ways for our people to work, learn, and thrive.

What We Are Looking For….

  • Proficiency in JavaScript or Typescript
  • Proficiency in C# .NET (Ideally v8+)
  • Experience building web applications with React and Redux
  • Clear understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and clean architecture practices
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Passion for web app development and eagerness to learn

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with any Content Management System
  • Experience with telemetry (logging, traces and metrics)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for automating tests or deployments

THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU….

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.

We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns. And, as a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee interviews for a fair and proportionate number of applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role with a disability, long-term health or neurodivergent condition through the Disability Confident Scheme.

We provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers. Just let us know what you need.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%.
  • An annual bonus award, subject to Group performance.
  • Share schemes including free shares.
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.
  • 28 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies.
