Job description

JOB TITLE: Private Banking Relationship Director - Sports Entertainment and Entrepreneurs

LOCATION: London

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office hubs mentioned above

What you’ll be doing

At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a clear purpose: helping Britain prosper. Through Lloyds Private Banking, we support high‑net‑worth and high‑profile clients to achieve their financial ambitions by providing tailored banking, lending, investment, estate planning and trust solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in growing our Entrepreneurs Private Banking proposition, supporting founders and owner‑managed businesses across high‑growth sectors including Tech & Digital, FinTech, Healthcare, Consumer Brands, Manufacturing and Social Enterprise.

As a Private Banking Client Relationships Director, you’ll lead and grow a portfolio of high‑net‑worth entrepreneur clients, acting as their primary relationship lead and delivering consistently high standards of personal service. You’ll originate new client relationships through a strong network of professional introducers, while deepening existing relationships to support clients across their personal wealth and business journeys.

You’ll take clear ownership of income performance across your portfolio, actively managing pipelines, originating new business and driving sustainable growth, while maintaining strong risk discipline and focus on good client outcomes. Working closely with colleagues across Private Banking and wider Lloyds Banking Group, you’ll deliver joined‑up, specialist solutions that meet both personal and commercial client needs.

You’ll also provide leadership within the wider Sports Entertainment and Entrepreneurs Private Banking team, role‑modelling collaboration, judgement and client‑centric thinking, supporting clients in complex or vulnerable circumstances and solving problems with flexibility, innovation and care.

Why join us?

We’re transforming at pace. Investing in our people, data and technology to help our customers achieve better financial wellbeing. If you’re looking for a role where you can have a genuine impact, build trusted relationships and do some of the best work of your career, you’ll find it here.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in relationship banking, Private Banking, Wealth Management or Commercial Banking roles managing High Net Worth client portfolios.

  • Proven experience originating, managing and growing High Net Worth client relationships, delivering sustainable income, growth and profitability outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience working with entrepreneur, founder‑led or owner‑managed business clients, with a strong understanding of personal and business financial needs.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience, working with internal specialists and partners to deliver integrated banking, lending, investment and wealth solutions.

  • Experience operating within regulated financial services environments, balancing commercial performance with risk management, conduct standards and client outcomes.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience leading or contributing to entrepreneur‑focused banking or wealth propositions.

  • Knowledge of UK financial markets and Private Banking products, including lending, investments, estate planning or trust services.

  • Experience supporting clients through complex life events, business exits, succession planning or vulnerable circumstances.
