A. Congratulations!  We are looking forward to you joining our team and helping us make Britain prosper.

You’ve come successfully through our assessment and selection process and before you join us we now need to complete our pre-employment checks.  An overview of these can be found in the Pre-Employment Checks section of this site.

Following your verbal offer of employment and once you have provided the documentation requested we will send you a conditional offer of employment pack.  This will be sent by post to your home address and can take from a few days to a few weeks from the date of your verbal offer depending on the nature of your role and the speed with which you can provide the information we need.

In this pack will be your Conditional Offer letter, 2 copies of your Contract of Employment (one for you to keep, the other to sign and return to us in the envelope provided), a FAQ sheet and a Pensions booklet which is supplied by our pensions provider Equiniti.

The FAQ sheet in your pack will give you more information on sending your P45 to us, enrolling for our Car and Flexible Benefits schemes, opening a Bank Account with our Group and confirmation of the date to expect your first salary from us.  There are also contact details if you have any queries on the information provided in the pack.

Depending on the nature of the role you have been offered, we aim to complete our recruitment formalities within either 10 or 17 working days; however this is a guideline and our Concierge and Onboarding team will update you on progress. You can support the process by ensuring you sign and return your contract of employment as soon as possible, as your start date can be confirmed when we have received this.

Once all required checks are complete, including receipt of satisfactory references and we have received your Group bank account details, you will receive a letter confirming that your offer is Unconditional and confirming your start date. Our Concierge and Onboarding team will keep you up to date with the progress of the vetting and referencing process and will be able to answer any immediate questions you may have.

Throughout the vetting and referencing  process your main point of contact will be the Concierge and Onboarding team– they are there to navigate you through the process of joining and will be in touch with you to update on progress.

We work with Reed who support some of our vetting and referencing  processes – so you may hear from them on our behalf.  Whoever contacts you will always introduce themselves, explain the nature of their call and give you the chance to answer any questions you may have.

Having a thorough pre-employment vetting and referencing process is a great way to ensure that we recruit the best people and build the best teams at every level.
