ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We’re not just building products — we’re building momentum. The Transaction Classification Lab is where ideas move fast, and outcomes matter. We’re looking for a bold, curious, and action-oriented Product Owner to help us push boundaries and deliver real impact creating a world leading transaction data product.

This is not your typical Product Owner role. Lloyds Banking Group has 28 million customers who are transacting millions of times a day. You’ll be joining a cross-functional team who are passionate about building scalable, ethical, and human-centred AI ready data sources. Our mission? To unlock the vast opportunities generated by our customer data — responsibly, creatively, and at pace.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Working with engineers to build data products on Google Cloud to enable our colleagues and business teams to achieve their strategies and goals.
  • Building a future looking roadmap whilst ruthlessly prioritising, collaborating with our Business Units and platform teams and always keeping an eye on market trends and opportunities.
  • Making sure our products remain compliant, managing the required governance to keep our customer data safe.
  • Working with our sister lab teams and wider platforms and AI Centre of Excellence to make sure our data product is front, and centre of all business units plans and strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Previous experience as Product Owner in an AI/Machine Learning team is essential.
  • Experience of delivering in teams driving forward a clear product vision, shape and manage product backlogs with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes and deliverables.
  • Experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver change.
  • Experience tackling complex problems and breaking them out into a roadmap of viable solutions.
  • Experience of crafting a phenomenal team environment that attracts and retains talent.
  • Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment up, down and across the organisation.
  • Strong on dependency management and effective resolution.

ABOUT WORKING FOR US

Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too.

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

• A generous pension contribution of up to 15%

• An annual performance-related bonus

• Share schemes including free shares

• Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping

• X days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top

• A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
