Job description

Purpose of the Role

The Strategic Business Operations Manager a pivotal role in which the role holder will be the primary responsible colleague for business-critical initiatives and/or strategic projects. These are likely to be new (or dynamically evolving) initiatives at an enterprise level for Lloyds Living. They will be business initiatives of noticeable scale and deliver outputs to meet the direction and growth aspirations of the business.

The role holder will lead the output of multiple stakeholders to draw together the broad strands of enterprise-wide deliverables. The role holder will be comfortable taking ownership of ‘front through back’ initiatives and feeling empowered to deal with the ambiguity of designing and delivering such.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of specific business wide initiatives, working directly for the Managing Director to understand the business requirements and direction.
  • Helping to define the business challenge and leading the strategic response and delivery phases to those defined projects and requests
  • Ensuring initiatives are linked, and continued to remain to, to the commercial and core value aspirations of the business and group.
  • Being able to report progress succinctly and timely to Senior Leadership.
  • Creating clarity of approach and delivery to delivery partners surrounding the agile/fast momentum.

Skills & Experience

Must have

  • Experience in the residential property sector
  • Track record of developing and delivering enterprise wide/strategic business initiatives across a broad spectrum of topics.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, third parties and other partners to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to create workable strategic responses and delivery plans from a given strategic challenge. Then be able to delivery on that challenge from end to end
  • Stakeholder management to lead delivery from colleagues who are not necessarily direct reports, or even within Lloyds Living business
  • Ability to work with Managing Director for LLPM to develop strategy and then take responsibility for leading delivery of such initiatives, including setting goals and communicating them with key stakeholders
  • Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, managing own workload and setting self challenging targets.
  • Strong analytical skills, coupled with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven record of curiosity – willingness to seek out, and lead implementation, of continual business improvement in an agile manner.
  • Solid programme management skills, required to lead and deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Very strong customer first focus and delivery outlook.
