JOB TITLE: Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager
SALARY: £61,344 - £68,160
LOCATION: Bristol
HOURS: Full-time

This is an exciting opportunity to join the People & Places (P&P) Data Hub as a Data Analytics Manager, playing a key role in delivering workforce-based analytical insights that support the People & Places strategy and the wider Group. This is a growing and strategically important area, critical to shaping the future of our workforce and driving the Group’s long-term success.
Functioning with a high degree of autonomy, this role involves setting direction, leading projects end-to-end, and making day-to-day delivery decisions with little hands-on support. The role combines technical expertise in Power BI with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery management.
In joining us in the P&P Data Hub; responsibilities include helping drive business intelligence and storytelling within P&P by:
Translating complex data into engaging visualizations and Gen BI solutions that support decision-making across the People & Places landscape
Driving the exploration and integration of emerging technologies such as Generative BI into the People & Places strategy to deliver innovative and impactful solutions
Continuously enhancing and maintaining existing solutions within the People & Places portfolio to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with business needs
Owning end‑to‑end delivery of complex Power BI dashboard & Gen BI, leading projects while being accountable for planning, prioritisation, risk management, and high‑quality visual storytelling standards
Shaping and evolving the visualisation roadmap aligned to strategic priorities and supporting People and Places initiatives

What we’re looking for?
We’re looking for someone passionate about data, insight, and visual storytelling, with a curious mindset and strong problem‑solving skills. You can translate complex data into clear stories for both technical and non‑technical audiences, while challenging the status quo with fresh, data‑driven approaches to people analytics.
You’ll own visualisation projects end to end, balance multiple priorities, collaborate effectively with others, and stay curious about the evolving BI landscape to help shape the People & Places strategy.
Demonstrated expertise in data storytelling, visualization, and dashboard development, with strong proficiency in Tableau and Power BI, 2 - 3 years experience would be highly desirable
Knowledge of Generative BI is a significant advantage
Experience working in a data-driven organization within business analytics, BI, or reporting functions (experience with People Data is advantageous)
Comfortable working with large datasets and sourcing data from strategic platforms; experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred
Strong willingness to learn new approaches, techniques, and technologies, and to work in an agile, adaptive environment
Proven ability to contribute to building and encouraging a data-driven culture within teams
