HOURS: Full time (35 hours per week)

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments in line with our Flexibility Works policy.

What you’ll be doing

In Customer & Commercial (C&C), we put customers at the heart of every decision, championing their voice while building a commercially sustainable business. From everyday needs to life’s big moments, we design and optimise solutions that deliver value for customers and the Group.

As Senior Manager you will be a key member of the Business Performance Leadership Team which is led by the Head of Business Performance and part of the wider Customer & Commercial team.

This role involves having ownership and accountability for:

  • Commercial tracking/reporting – monitoring segment/proposition performance, highlighting areas of concern, and working with wider C&C team to identify opportunities to drive both value and growth.

  • Data / analytics – proactively supplying segment/proposition teams with data and analytics to help shape strategies/propositions. Designing measurement approaches that drive positive performance across our key priority areas

  • Business case development  - developing business cases for new ideas initiatives to ensure commercial viability and effective prioritisation.

  • Investment planning

  • Forecasting/planning – leading regular financial forecasting process (6YOP, etc.), owning the overall commercial story

  • Cost management – day-to-day cost management, overseeing spend, variance analysis and driving prioritisation of decisions to hit cost numbers

Why join us?

This is a highimpact role with exposure across Customer & Commercial and the wider Group. You’ll influence how priorities are set, how investment decisions are made and how customer initiatives translate into sustainable growth.

You’ll work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment, partnering with senior leaders across segments, products and propositions, and helping shape the commercial story as Lloyds Banking Group enters the next phase of its strategy.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience and capabilities

Commercial awareness & critical thinking

  • 7+ years’ experience in commercial performance, finance, business strategy, consulting or a similar analytical role with a strong understanding of how products and propositions drive income and value, and able to identify highvalue growth and efficiency opportunities, using market, economic and competitor insight to shape priorities and plans.

Data literacy

  • Proven experience in commercial tracking, forecasting and financial planning, including multiyear outlooks (e.g. annual plans, mediumterm plans)

  • Confident using data and analytics to inform decisions, with experience working with visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Able to interrogate data to identify opportunities, quantify benefits and improve how teams use insight to drive performance.

Influence, Communication and collaboration skills

  • Proven ability to partner, challenge and influence senior leaders and colleagues across a complex organisation, balancing customer and commercial needs, resolving tension and driving accountability for outcomes.

Storytelling & communication

  • Able to turn complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences, including Executivelevel forums, and use insight to drive understanding and action.

Leadership

  • Experience leading and developing highperforming commercial and/or data teams, rolemodelling a growth mindset and actively contributing to culture and capability development.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion, supporting our customers, colleagues and communities. We’re committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive, learn and develop.
