    40 years of our charitable Foundations

    This year marks 40 years of our charitable Foundations, founded in 1985 to provide vital support to small and local charities across the UK and Channel Islands, helping to tackle disadvantage in the communities that need it most. Since then, we’ve donated more than £800 million and supported nearly 70,000 small charities.

    Full year results

    In February we published our 2024 annual report along with a robust set of financial results. We successfully completed the first phase of our strategic plan, going into 2025 well positioned for sustained growth and enhanced value creation for our shareholders.

    A brand new look

    Alongside full year results we also rolled out our new branding across our corporate website, the final stage of a comprehensive brand refresh which began with the customer-facing Lloyds brand in Autumn 2024. Our new identity focuses on a digital-first, experience-led approach and includes a modernised colour palette, logo and tone of voice. A different look, fit for the future. 

    Retrofitting social homes

    We partnered with Peabody on a £60 million loan agreement to retrofit thousands of social homes – the largest deal to date under the National Wealth Fund’s £1.3 billion social housing retrofit guarantee scheme.

    The funding will enable Peabody to carry out energy efficiency upgrades such as the installation of heat pumps and solar panels, with the aim of delivering warmer, greener homes for social tenants while supporting the UK's broader net zero ambitions.

    Retirement insights

    The 2025 Scottish Widows Retirement Report was published, offering a fresh perspective on the evolving retirement landscape in the UK. Now in its 21st year, the report provides a detailed analysis of people's financial aspirations and retirement plans, underscoring the importance of proactive retirement planning and financial empowerment.

    In-app travel booking

    We became the first UK bank to offer in-app travel booking, allowing customers to book flights and hotels worldwide through our mobile app. This ultra-convenient service offers a price guarantee for holidaymakers, and is the latest addition to our range of products and services that make travel more convenient for customers.

    More than just a bank account

    In May we launched Lloyds Premier, a new bank account bringing together the best in financial perks and premium lifestyle services for people with income or assets over £100,000. This launch is a strategically important milestone in our growth ambitions for affluent customers – a part of the market where we’ve historically been under-represented.

    Forging ahead with AI

    26 new AI use cases went live in the first half of the year, demonstrating how we’re putting AI technology into practice to improve colleague and customer experience. This includes the award-winning Large Language Model (LLM) enabled search function in our mobile app. With more planned for the rest of 2025 and beyond, we’re using AI to reimagine every area of our business. 

    Supporting sustainable farming

    We teamed up with Soil Association Exchange and Finance Earth to launch a £1 million sustainable farming fund called Exchange Market. It rewards farmers for prioritising environmental outcomes in their businesses, bridging the financial gap for food producers and advancing the sustainability of the sector.

    City Walks

    More than 2,500 Lloyds Banking Group colleagues have taken part in our City Walks challenge, stepping up to walk a total of 37,000 miles in cities across the UK. So far we've raised over £266,000 for our partner charities Crisis and Simon Community Northern Ireland, working to end homelessness for good.
