Job description

JOB TITLE: Design Researcher (12-Month FTC)

LOCATION(S): Halifax / Leeds / Manchester
SALARY: £59,850  - £66,500
HOURS: Full-Time
DURATION: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office


The role will involve regular travel to Halifax, and occasional travel to London and our other offices across the UK.

About this opportunity
Our Research team are great at understanding customers and creating insights from research data! We apply customer research methodologies, running strategic & tactical projects, interpreting the results and delivering clear, well thought out insights.

Working together with other teams across Lloyds Banking Group, you'll get to grips with key business challenges and influence them on the research requirements.

You will have experience of being a great partner with research agencies, crafting clear briefs and working with agencies to deliver. As we also bring some research in-house, experience of delivering quantitative research end to end would be an advantage. This includes taking raw data, analysing, interpreting and translating into clear insights.

What you'll need

  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously, an adaptable approach to change and ensure that projects are delivered on budget and to schedule.

  • Experience in developing a brief, analysing qualitative & quantitative user research including becoming comfortable with statistical techniques to help analysis and interpretation is a requirement,

  • Being able to simplify complex data to identify important insights.

  • Clearly and succinctly articulate those insights in a way that guides business strategies

  • Deep qualitative and quantitative research expertise 

  • Analysing and interpreting results. Plus a strong practical understanding of how to best apply a broad range of research techniques

  • Translate business requirements into well-conceived and actionable insight

  • Understand business challenges and influence / guide on relevant research requirements 

  • Enjoys working in partnership with colleagues and suppliers to ensure delivery to specification, using budget efficiently and meeting timelines

  • Experience managing a research budget and finding efficient ways to deliver
