JOB TITLE: Actuary (Manager/Consultant)

LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Bristol or London

SALARY: £87,552 - £97,280

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of our above office sites

As a key player in our team, balancing time between ensuring regulatory compliance and driving methodology changes is crucial.
 

Day to day you’ll be;

  • Co-ordinating and conducting cyclical reviews and updating methodology documents.
  • Providing advice to update methodology documents which require specialist expertise.
  • Building and maintaining a new methodology and model inventory to support the cyclical review methodologies and models.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and identify methodologies which need updating in conjunction with proposing and delivering new methodologies for emerging regulatory change.
  • Management of PRA relationship and coordination of engagement (MMCs, change logs, engagement plan), chasing teams for PRA advice.
  • Supporting baselining queries and activities.

What you’ll need

  • Qualified Actuary with post qualification experience.
  • Deep Understanding of Solvency II/Solvency UK Rules: Crucial for ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of IFRS-9 and IFRS-17: Preferred, as it will improve your ability to contribute to our overall methodologies suite.
  • Ability to deliver projects within set timelines, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, to optimally convey sophisticated information to various collaborators.
  • Collaborator Management: Experience working with Risk and Auditors, ensuring smooth collaboration and compliance.
