About this opportunity

We’re currently undertaking the UK's largest financial services transformation, to make sure we remain relevant for our customers today and tomorrow. In order to deliver on our bold strategic ambitions, we are looking for a Manager to enable the build and continuous improvement of the framework that facilitates transactions to optimise and reduce risk in the Group's balance sheet.

This is an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving a key strategic objective for the Group while adding value to data management, risk and control, process improvement and assurance for the transactions we execute and maintain.

This role involves a 12-month fixed term contract within the Capital optimisation and Securitisation team, in Group Corporate Treasury, working across the Group alongside Finance, Risk and business colleagues.

Key responsibilities

You'll be responsible for running the remediation programme to establish a recognised "run-the-bank" transaction framework for asset optimisation, removing operational risk and standardising processes and controls. The aim is to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies in the duration of the secondment.

  • Collaborate with finance, risk, business, data and platform teams to define problem statements and ensure the prioritisation of fixes to improve operational readiness for transactions is delivered.

  • Lead the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure changes are tested and implemented effectively and in line with business expectations.

  • Work closely with senior management and technical teams to deliver process and control improvements that provide insights to support better decision-making and optimise business metrics

  • Work in an agile manner to deliver results efficiently and effectively, demonstrating iterative and collaborative approaches

About us

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone. Including you!

What you’ll need

  • Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders to deliver on remedial activities aligned to business objectives

  • Strong expertise in business analysis and project management support on large projects with a proven track record of delivering change that drives business value

  • Be a motivated, enthusiastic and curious colleague with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to advocate and influence colleagues across the organisation.

  • Have the ability to continuously learn and adapt to the latest industry advancements in the technology and data for transactional operational readiness, effectively integrating these developments into change initiatives.

  • To think laterally, solve problems and explore innovative solutions that create good outcomes for our colleagues

About working for us

Our focus is to ensure we’re inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We’re committed to creating a consciously inclusive workplace where our colleagues can be themselves, thrive and perform at their best.

As an inclusive employer, we offer Workplace Adjustments for colleagues with a disability (which may include long-term health and neurodivergent conditions) where it is reasonable to do so. This could include flexibility with regards to office attendance, location, and working pattern.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader. If you have a disability, you can also apply via our Disability Confident Scheme (DCS). Through the DCS, we guarantee to interview a fair and proportionate number of applicants with a disability, whose application meets the minimum criteria for the advertised job role.

We also provide adjustments that are reasonable throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers for applicants with a disability, long-term health condition or neurodivergent condition. If you’d like an adjustment to the recruitment process just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
