JOB TITLE: Operational Resilience Manager
LOCATION(S): Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh & London

HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.

Showcase expertise in resilience and continuity, translating strategy, regulation, and policy to support business.

This role is critical for ensuring Lloyds Banking Group's current and future resilience, meeting customer needs and regulatory standards. It will involve work between Group Operational Resilience and partners, collaborating closely with our business, Platform and Pillar colleagues to deliver our joint priorities. Bringing insight to support those priorities and on the impact our customers see and feel from the decisions made.

Important Business Processes (IBPs) within Lloyds Bank underpin our Important Business Services (IBSs)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with colleagues across CIB and the wider LBG to craft/ maintain business area resilience plans, ensuring they are aligned to Group Operational Resilience Strategy, Policy & Standards.
  • Over sighting Important Business Processes (IBPs) and responsible for CIBs Important Business Service (IBS). Working with Subject-Matter-Experts’ to ensure we’re undertaking annual requirements (e.g. mapping documentation, control testing, scenario testing, impact tolerance reviews etc).
  • Ensuring reasonable steps are taken to secure or prioritise investment to maintain / improve business unit resilience, including the creation and adoption of tactical, strategic or substitution focussed improvements to IBSs to enable compliance with set Impact Tolerances.
  • Ensuring business unit resilience risks are identified, detailed & mitigated, and controls are implemented.
  • Ensuring the creation, collation, governance, analysing and reporting of resilience MI and Horizon Risk Radar.
  • Ensuring the resilience of wider divisional assets, engaging with pillars to ensure resilience is maintained in any change activity.
  • Co-ordinating CIB’s input into LBG-wide IBP and IBS reviews.
  • Build tailored Business Unit education and awareness campaigns to help embed resilient practices. Share and promote resilience knowledge and ‘best practise’ within the division to ensure adherence to current practices and approach to resilience.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity, with specific knowledge of relevant regulation (PRA SS1/21, FCA PS21/3).
  • Excellent social skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.
  • Experience engaging senior leaders to convey sophisticated information and influence decision-making.
  • A strong understanding of operational resilience capabilities, including business continuity management and processes to drive robust service outcomes, with access to the latest regulatory and industry developments.
  • Strong data analytic skills with a consistent track record of providing insights to senior audiences.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
