We have an exciting opportunity to join our Merchant Services team where you could become an integral part in shaping the future of payments acceptance!

About this opportunity

A great opportunity has arisen for someone to join a growing Partnership team in Lloyds Merchant Services to help us grow our key partnerships.

Using your extensive knowledge and experience in the payments space, you'll collaborate with internal sales and strategy teams to assess and prioritise a pipeline of partners (ISVs, PSPs, ISOs, PAAS, Plug-ins to name a few) which will give Lloyds an edge in our top sectors.

This role will lead commercial and contractual negotiations to their successful outcome, liaise with technical colleagues to manage onboarding, and will engage with GTM teams for internal and external launch.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Using your expertise across Lloyd’s top sectors to identify and target applicable partnerships
  • Lead complex negotiations and involve internal teams to support when required on legal and technical elements
  • Regularly collaborating with sales to understand the gaps they need to fill and how the partner team can support outputs from win/loss analysis
  • Identify priority partners based on internal need and your expertise on how we can solve problems better for our merchants
  • Support internal sales teams by attending select meetings and conferences and being an SME on all things partnerships
  • Successfully onboard partners and set them up for success before handing over to the Third-Party Relationship Management team
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align initiatives with company goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring long-term collaboration success
  • Represent Lloyds at industry events, conferences, and forums, positioning the company as a key player in the industry through thought leadership and strategic partnerships

What You’ll Need

  • Substantial experience in the payments acceptance industry and management experience in a merchant services/gateway environment
  • Evidence of working within third party organisations such as ISVs, ISOs, technology providers, or evidence managing relationships with these organisations
  • Experience working within core UK sectors such as Hospitality and Retail
  • Knowledge on the complexities of integrations at a technical level and be fluent on challenges which can occur from a partner and merchant angle
  • Proven success in influencing or contributing to strategy at the highest level
  • Proactive problem solver with track record of using a partner and customer centric approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, utilising Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & PowerBI, as examples
