Location: Birmingham or Glasgow
Hours: Full-time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our Birmingham or Glasgow office.

About this opportunity

Payment Operations is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Six Sigma Coach to lead, educate, and guide our team members in the principles and practices.

This role is pivotal in ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence is embedded across all areas of Payment Operations.  The Six Sigma trainer and coach role plays a crucial role in guiding Payments Operations through the Six Sigma methodology to achieve process improvements.

The Six Sigma trainer and coach role is instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. By providing comprehensive training, personalised coaching, and ongoing support, to help Payment Operations harness the power of Six Sigma to drive significant and sustainable improvements in performance. And to promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation through encouraging the use of Six Sigma principles in day-to-day operations to deliver process improvement for clients and colleagues

What you’ll do

  • Training and Development: Conduct comprehensive training sessions on Six Sigma methodologies, including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), Lean principles, and other relevant tools and techniques. Covering Lean awareness, Lean Basics and Green Belt.

  • Coaching: Provide one-on-one and group coaching to employees at all levels, assisting them in the application of Six Sigma tools to their respective projects. Guide colleagues form training through to accreditation.

  • Curriculum Design: Develop and update training materials, curricula, and resources to ensure they reflect the latest Six Sigma practices and industry standards.

  • Project Support: Guide and support project teams in identifying, planning, and implementing Six Sigma projects, ensuring they achieve measurable improvements and meet organizational goals.

  • Help identify and prioritise Six Sigma projects based on organizational goals and strategic objectives.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Six Sigma projects, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Leadership and Advocacy: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on Six Sigma project outcomes, training effectiveness, and overall impact on organisational performance.

What you’ll need

  • Accredited Lean Six Sigma black belt with a deep understanding of Six Sigma principles is essential

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage key stakeholders across the business.

  • The ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively.

  • The ability to inspire and drive change through coaching.

  • Proven project delivery experience ( preferably with multiple completed Black Belt projects)

  • Proven experience in supporting others to build their own problem- solving skills.
