SALARY: £43,803 - £48,670
LOCATION(S): Leeds
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office site.
About this opportunity
Join the General Insurance (GI) Finance Business Partnering team in Leeds. We're a key centre for the GI business, working closely with Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) Finance to provide a key linkage on all aspects of GI. We're part of the IP&I division and have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking accounting professional to join the team.
The Business Partnering team is a dynamic, engaging and highly committed team with responsibility across the following broad categories:
Management reporting including month end reporting, in-depth commercial analysis and deep dives into areas to add customer value.
Forecasting and planning, understanding key business levers and engaging with the business areas to accurately forecast commercial performance.
Business partnering multiple customers across the GI business, delivering insightful analysis to help influence business decisions.
You'll have exposure to many areas of the IP&I business and also the wider Banking Group. This provides an excellent opportunity for personal development, career progression, and a chance to create a real difference to the way Finance operates. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment across a wide range of collaborators, want to improve your eye for business and have a desire to continually improve and innovate in a co-operative fashion, you'll be well suited to the role.
The role requires a self-motivated individual with task prioritisation experience, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and effective communication. A flexible approach is required – given the demands of the role will continue to vary.
Key responsibilities/ accountabilities are as follows;
Supporting the Corporate Partnerships Home Insurance business, Motor partnership, growth of a new Pet insurance offering, and launch of new Health insurance product.
Providing financial mentorship on areas such as accounting treatments, reporting requirements for projects, and financial governance.
Providing financial analysis and modelling of proposed changes to pricing, products and propositions, understanding the commercial drivers and being able to flexibly build financial scenarios.
Reviewing new partner contracts and commercial terms, involvement in tender processes.
Engaging with GI commercial teams to deliver plans and forecasts, challenging appropriately to ensure budgets are stretching and achievable, and help deliver the strategic objectives.
Preparing month end reporting packs for senior leadership team, adding valuable insight to the financial results, with opportunities to present to senior team.
Providing Finance SME support on GI & Finance projects impacting GI Business Partnering and providing ad hoc data analysis.
Establishing and building links with senior leaders.
Establishing and building relationships with customers to maintain an understanding of expectations, remain relevant, and provide appropriate support and guidance.
Demonstrating core Lloyds Banking Group values and behaviours as an active team member.

What you’ll need:
Finance professional with a proven track record gained in a range of roles, with a good knowledge within Business Partnering disciplines.
Qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant experience (CIMA/ ACCA/ ICAEW).
Strong analytical & numeracy skills.
Display attention to detail and accuracy.
Commercial awareness - Experience of and understanding of market and industry environment.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of PowerPoint.
Good understanding of finance systems, architecture and processes.
Self-motivated, able to thrive under pressure, and work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate and influence at senior levels.
Strong self-management and organisational skills.
