JOB TITLE: Technical Application Specialist

SALARY: £70,929 - £78,810

LOCATION(S): Halifax

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our locations noted above. 

About this opportunity

The Engineering Platform team is on a mission to create the next generation technical platform for Lloyds Banking Group, a single platform consumed by every engineer and platform across the entire group. You'll be at the heart of one of the UK's biggest financial service technical transformations maximising the use of shared tools and technology across our entire organisation.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to shape how we evolve across the group!

As part of our Test Tooling team, you'll be crucial to our work to ensure Engineers have the best testing tools available to them.

You will be involved in the introduction, installation, configuration, maintenance, reliable operation and support of a range of tools covering all test disciplines.

What you’ll need:

  • Hands on experience of software and tool installation, configuration, maintenance and support

  • In-depth knowledge of Performance testing, and performance testing tools

  • Hands on experience of using modern technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Github, Backstage and Harness.

  • Technical skills and the ability to investigate complex issues and perform root cause analysis.

  • Experience in building tooling solutions to support engineers to adopt new ways of working

  • Knowledge across the entire Test Lifecycle including Quality Engineering, Test Data and Test Environments

Any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Experience working with and building CI/CD pipelines
