Job title: Technical Manager

Location: Jersey

Hours: Full time – Incident Management responsibilities come with an on-call shift commitment. 

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in our Jersey office

This is an exciting, yet demanding position for a Technical Manager to work on the Currency Banking System (T24 - Ocean) and other downstream applications. Ocean supports 100,000 customers and around 450,000 accounts.

Infrastructure’s emphasis is to be an integral part in maintaining the Crown Dependencies applications running and control live service while supporting a fast-paced

change environment.

What you'll need:

• Proven in depth knowledge and experience of T24 modules

• Knowledge and experience in T24 Application, Technical and Interface Support

• Knowledge in COB Support, Performance Tuning and End of Year processing

• Ability to problem solve, analyse issues, and provide solutions

• Support Incident Fixes, Changes and Projects

• Sound knowledge of local design and developments.

• Knowledge of WebSphere setup and configurations, as well as analysis of Dynatrace errors

• Experience in Performance Tuning (Online & COB reports) TWS & Web services

• Experience in managing and undertaking Disaster Recovery proving.

• Experience in SIT/UAT, NFT (Non-Function Testing) and Go-Live Support

• Experience in multi-server architecture set-up and support

• Experience in Indexing at database level.

• Experience in Service automation and File extraction

• Strong proven knowledge of working on the Local and Core Support activities

• Understanding of APIs and IF (Integration framework)

• Work closely with Internal and external Auditors to drive through and meet requests in an accurate and timely manner.

• ECRM - Environment control and oversight

• Provide a strong collaboration with Business colleagues to ensure support and guidance of Core T24 and local development(s)

• Knowledge in Agile concepts, JIRA and Service Now, Design Studio and a good understanding of ITIL


We also need you to have the ability to support T24 upgrade projects:

  • You’ll have supported and lead end-to-end upgrade procedures, from support prioritisation to successful delivery.
  • You’ll have a high level understanding and experience in Data Migrations, Analyse challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Operating System upgrade, Database upgrade & Technical upgrade.
  • Collaborate effectively with Database and Infrastructure Administrators to ensure flawless upgrade completion.

Core to the support of the role, the following understanding and experience is preferable.
