Job description

JOB TITLE: AML Policy Execution Manager 

SALARY: £65,385 to £79,915pa (dependant on experience) plus the benefits listed below.

LOCATION: Edinburgh

HOURS: 35 hours, full time.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at the listed hub.

Your accountabilites will include:

  • Leading on AML Regulatory and Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) Policy requirements for Insurance, Pensions & Investments Division, part of LBG.

  • Compliant execution of AML standards across the Division ensuring fulfilment in line with risk appetite.

  • Providing insightful, high quality analysis, advice and guidance on AML, executing control and tailored to senior stakeholder needs.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of understanding of AML requirements and regulation

  • An ability to create strong partnerships with senior stakeholders and influence business priorities whilst understanding future trends and requirements.

  • An ability to work on key areas, critically analyse data and prepare comprehensive proposals that update and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Identifying best practices with the ability to respond to changes in the internal and external business environment to secure best value for the Group and its customers.

  • An ability to apply expertise ensuring appropriate risk mitigation is embedded into the AML control landscape.

  • Providing constructive challenge, proactive support and insightful guidance relating to fraud and financial crime risk, control and compliance.

  • Executing a range of risk management processes, procedures, and controls in support of the intelligence & data led risk management strategy, ensuring Job Description.

About you

  • Must have experience of AML regulation and how this is applied in a Life & Pensions business.

  • Must have expert level understanding of AML risks and has experience of developing mitigating actions tailored to the business needs.

  • Able to provide analysis on key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.

  • Can deliver actions and controls which drive improved overall policy compliance across the combined IP&I business.

  • Must have line Management experience and be able to develop Financial Crime specialists to deliver effective risk and control management; driving improvements to AML risks and controls.

  • Able to implement team's formal development framework with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally coaching others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development.

  • Able to lead on the design and implementation of a compliance programme while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.

  • Able to navigate a wide variety of existing processes, procedures and precedents to interpret data and identify possible answers.

  • Able to lead a team in order to achieve expectations and follow established timelines.
