LOCATION(S): Bristol, Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Chester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Halifax, Hove, Leeds or Manchester

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

The Operational Effectiveness team plays a vital role in delivering Lloyds Banking Group's vision of putting customers at the heart of everything we do, supporting the transition to a net zero carbon economy, taking care of vulnerable customers, and building the bank of the future.


We’re responsible for shaping the Consumer Relationships Chief Operating Office (CR COO) future service model. Working with internal and outsource partners to deliver seamless journeys and next generation digital solutions whilst maintaining a restless focus on exceptional customer service.

  • Lead a team of colleagues, utilising our leadership framework (4C’s) and Your Best principles to drive development and create a culture of safety and support
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of automation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client requirements
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with Consumer Relationship stakeholders to understand their business processes and identify opportunities for automation
  • Ensure the quality and performance of automation solutions through rigorous testing and validation
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery

What you'll need...

  • An experienced leader with a track record for effectively managing and inspiring a team, driving optimal performance, collaboration, and exceptional results
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tool Blue Prism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Co-pilot Studio and AI Builder
  • Experience in API adoption and onboarding (working knowledge of REST APIs)
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex automation projects on time and within budget, utilising agile methodologies (i.e., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovative solutions and optimisation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, partners, and team members
  • Well informed on latest automation trends e.g. Agentic AI and experience in onboarding new technology is a plus
