Job description

JOB TITLE:  Sanctions Policy Manager.

SALARY: £65,385 to £79,915pa plus the benefits listed below.

LOCATION: Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh.

HOURS: 35 hours, full time.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at the listed hubs.

Key responsibilities for this role:

  • Reviewing Sanctions Policy and assessing impacts of changes

  • Managing risks and control effectiveness for Sanctions Policy

  • Reviewing potential sanctions matches and determining a treatment strategy

  • Maintaining Policy waivers

  • Supporting Major Change to ensure sanctions requirements are captured and delivered

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Leading on Sanctions Regulatory and Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) Policy requirements for Insurance, Pensions & Investments Division, part of LBG.

  • Compliant execution of Sanctions standards across the Division ensuring fulfilment in line with risk appetite. Provide insightful, high-quality analysis, advice and guidance on Sanctions, executing control and tailored to senior stakeholder needs.

  • Creating strong partnerships with senior stakeholders and influence business priorities whilst understanding future trends and requirements.

  • Critically analyse data and prepare comprehensive proposals that update and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Identifying best practices and ability to respond to changes in the internal and external business environment to secure best value for the Group and its customers.

  • Applying expertise ensuring appropriate risk mitigation is embedded into the Sanctions control landscape.

  • Providing constructive challenge, proactive support and insightful guidance relating to fraud and financial crime risk, control and compliance.

  • Executing a range of risk management processes, procedures, and controls in support of the intelligence & data led risk management strategy, ensuring Job Description.

About you

  • Must have experience of Sanctions regulation and how this is applied in a Life & Pensions business.

  • Must have expert level understanding of Sanctions risks and has experience of developing mitigating actions tailored to the business needs.

  • Able to provide analysis on key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.

  • Must have Line Manager experience and able to develop Financial Crime specialists to deliver effective risk and control management, driving improvements to Sanctions risks and controls.

  • Can deliver actions and controls which drive improved overall policy compliance across the combined IP&I business.
