LOCATION:       London

HOURS:                 Full Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least 3 days per week, or 60% of your time, in the office.

About this opportunity

We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Transaction Banking Solutions (TBS) Commercialisation & Client Management Team, aimed at bringing together expertise from Transaction Banking, Bidding, commercialisation, business development and performance management. In addition, this team will have responsibility for driving efforts to grow existing business, responsible for proactively managing and solving client issues, enhancing relationships, and driving business growth through strategic portfolio management.

You’ll lead the development and execution of strategies to identify new business and drive business development, create and implement sales strategies and new product commercialisation and drive successful product, industry, and sales campaigns.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of P&L targets, alongside other members of the Transaction Banking Solutions senior leadership team with responsibility for commercialising product propositions.
  • Developing effective business development strategies by identifying market opportunities, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to drive sales growth and market share.
  • Developing marketing and sales enablement materials, ensuring that the messaging and positioning of our transaction banking solutions are aligned with market needs and client preferences.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategies by driving successful product, sales, and industry campaigns across Cash Management and Payment Solutions.
  • Drive successful bids by leading the team to produce high-quality proposals and continuing to develop effective collaboration across CIB and the wider group to drive continuous improvement in the bidding process. Build strong relationships with clients and third parties to actively avoid RFPs stage and lead the team to effectively support sales colleagues with the pitching process
  • Create the external market-facing branding and publicity of transactional banking for Corporate and Institutional clients, e.g., thought leadership, social media strategy, and leading the organisation’s marketing and branding at key conferences.
  • Work with product teams to support the launch of product campaigns and achieve outcomes that support the organisation’s overall strategy.
  • Lead a high-performing commercialisation team to grow capabilities within the Transaction Banking business while personally investing in the growth of own and others’ capabilities in the organisation through enabling consistent growth and development of colleagues.
  • Proactively building and maintaining client relationships across Institutional and Corporate clients to support business delivery.
  • Spotting growth opportunities for and leading change to improve customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Managing the back book portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with wider business objectives
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery and portfolio growth.
  • Embed critical metrics across the sales team to ensure activity is driving measurable performance outputs.
  • Partner management is essential for success with various internal and external partners.

What we need from you?

  • Proven experience in commercialisation, strategy and business development across a number of sectors.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the external competitive environment, to provide client and market feedback to management and business partners, including for product development, enhancement and solution delivery.
  • Be able to represent the organisation in a variety of industry and professional events forums.
  • Extensive experience of RFPs processes across transaction banking and a proven track record in securing new business.
  • Strong knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Have good people management skills as well as being a self-motivator and influencer.
  • Ability to engage with senior business leaders to understand long-term strategic challenges.
  • Be capable of seeking, sharing, and embedding standard methodology, supporting and positively influencing across the Group.
