About this opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join the growing Design Analytics & Measurement team. We are looking to recruit for a number of roles across various areas of Design for a 12-month period.

As a Senior Design Insight Analyst, you will be responsible for feeding deep customer behaviour insights into how we design products & services for Lloyds Banking Group customers. Leveraging Group’s wealth of customer data, you will perform advanced analyses to identify, inform and quantify the impact of changes which we put in front of our customers. You will be a data-champion, advocating for best practices and educating our creative stakeholders on the use of data in the design process.

These roles are central to ensuring that data-driven insights shape our design decisions, guiding us to deliver experiences that are user-centric and aligned to business objectives.

This role has an expectation of regular travel if you are recruited in a location that does not position you with the base Design team.

How we work
All Design Insights Analysts are embedded into a cross-functional squad (product, design, user research), where you are given the autonomy to shape your own backlog of work, aligning your analyses to core design initiatives. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across design & product is essential to the role, ensuring you can influence the direction of design changes.

We collaborate closely with user researchers, using quant to validate hypotheses from qualitative research. Our analysts do not just execute, but are challenged to think beyond delivery of analytics, focussing driving maximum impact.

What we’re looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced data analyst or data scientist able to independently lead analytics within a specific product area.
We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have a proven track record of delivering high quality, actionable customer insights
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to translate technical analysis into easily digestible stories for your stakeholders
  • You can think strategically beyond the numbers and drive impact through your analysis
  • You have strong business acumen, able to grasp new concepts quickly
  • You can build strong relationships with your peers and stakeholders
  • You work autonomously, effectively prioritising your backlog & time
  • You have experience defining good quality metrics

Essentials:

  • Excellent SQL proficiency.
  • A proven understanding of the LBG Data Landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of analytical techniques.
  • A track record of translating data into compelling stories.
  • Strong understanding of financial services.
  • A strong communicator with great influencing skills.
  • The desire to make a difference!

Desirables:

  • Experience of Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • A good knowledge of core analytical methods and statistical approaches.
  • Experience of Python.
  • Predictive modelling experience.
