About this opportunity:

The Machine Learning As a Service Lab is at the forefront of building cutting-edge AI infrastructure for Lloyds Banking Group, empowering teams to create impactful, end-to-end AI solutions that elevate our products and drive deeper customer engagement. Our mission supports Lloyds' vision of Helping Britain Prosper, and as we ramp up our focus on generative and agentic AI, we’re excited to expand our product team, fuelling faster platform innovation and unlocking new levels of engineering productivity.

Here’s where you’ll make a difference –

  • Setting a long term vision for your product and work with a cross functional team of Engineers to deliver them

  • Partner closely with our different lines of business and work closely with end users to deeply understand their requirements, assess trade-offs and prioritise your backlog for delivery in alignment with team priorities

  • Comfortable having difficult prioritisation conversations with stakeholders and achieving consensus

  • Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and opportunities to integrate cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities into our infrastructure.

  • Act as a champion for ethical AI, ensuring that our solutions are developed and deployed responsibly.

Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing our AI infrastructure, making it more robust, scalable, and capable of driving significant business outcomes. You will be at the heart of a team that is revolutionising the way we leverage AI to serve our customers and improve their experiences.

About us

We’re on an exciting journey and there couldn’t be a better time to join us. The investments we’re making in our people, data, and technology are leading to innovative projects, fresh possibilities, and countless new ways for our people to work, learn, and thrive.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in AI and Machine Learning platforms or infrastructure teams.

  • Ability to break down high-ambiguity problems into a strategic roadmap with clear solutions while assessing trade-offs.

  • Leadership skills in driving a clear product vision, managing product backlogs, and ensuring the achievement of outcomes and deliverables.

  • Strong background in collaborating with technical and cross-functional teams to implement changes effectively.

  • Track record of fostering an excellent team environment that attracts and retains top talent.

  • Exceptional influencing and dependency management skills to achieve alignment at all organizational levels.
