Job description

JOB TITLE: Associate Director - Private Capital

LOCATION(S): London

HOURS: Full Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.

About This Opportunity

Join our Private Capital team, where we provide a premium banking service to businesses owned by the UK’s most prominent Family Offices and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI). Our clients span a wide range of sectors and complexity levels—including household names featured in the Sunday Times Rich List. We offer tailored corporate banking solutions such as lending, hedging, and cash management, working closely with our product partners and ESG specialists to support clients on their sustainability journeys and the road to net zero.

We’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Associate Director to help shape the future of our Private Capital business. This is a unique opportunity to lead a portfolio of prestigious clients, manage a team of Associates, and play a key role in enhancing both client and colleague experiences through innovation and leadership.

Your accountabilities will include:

•            Leading and developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of high-profile clients.

•            Originating new business opportunities and driving growth within the Private Capital segment.

•            Managing and mentoring a team of Associates, supporting their professional development and day-to-day performance.

•            Delivering tailored banking solutions that meet the complex needs of UHNWI clients.

•            Working with internal product partners and collaborators to provide seamless client service.

•            Contributing to risk management and control processes, including contingency planning.

What you’ll need

•            Proven experience in managing corporate client relationships, ideally within the UHNWI or Family Office space.

•            Strong customer management skills, including experience in line management and team leadership.

•            A proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to identify and deliver tailored financial solutions.

•            A commitment to personal and professional development—for yourself and your team.

About working for us!

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

•            A generous pension contribution of up to 15%

•            An annual bonus award, subject to Group performance

•            Share schemes including free shares

•            Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping

•            30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top

•            A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
